Many people have asked recently how they can help this volunteer-run and -funded project. Here are some things we always need:
- Photographers to take high quality pictures of the dogs,
- Volunteers to print flyers at home using premium photo paper and post them,
- Businesses to let us post our flyers in a highly visible location, and
- Supplies (ink and paper) to print our flyers.
We are using Epson Claria 78 ink cartridges, and Epson premium glossy photo paper. We've added an Amazon wish list to make it easier to help by purchasing supplies. Place anything you purchase in a bag and drop it off at the Davenport Building at Town Lake Animal Center, 1156 W. Cesar Chavez, along with a note indicating that it's for Adopt a Running Buddy.
We would also like to put together "gift baskets" to offer with our featured dogs. If you own a business and would be willing to donate, products, services, coupons or gift certificates for our running and walking buddies, please email townlakedogs@gmail.com. The gift basket item does not have to be pet-related.
