Two Blondes are Twice the Fun - Fifi and Scully
Two Blondes are Twice the Fun
Hi, we’re Fifi and Scully. We
met and became best friends here at the shelter. We
were getting bored and lonely in our kennels so the
nice people who work here decided that we could live
together. You don’t have to adopt us together, but
there are lots of ways that two blondes are better than
one. We can entertain and exercise each other when you
don’t have time. Our antics will provide you with hours
of free entertainment. You’ll get lots of compliments
on what a good-looking pair we are. If you’ve always
wanted two blondes, ask staff about adopting us
together.
Scully and
Fifi love playing with all sorts of dogs. If you have a
dog at home that needs a playmate, either would make a
good choice. Visit their photo galleries to see
pictures and video of them playing together. Email
townlakedogsATgmailDOTcom for more information.

SOS - Penny was returned and has only days to find a new home
One of our favorite dogs, Penny, has been returned to TLAC after just a few short weeks. She did not get along with the adopters’ cats. Because TLAC is full, Penny will not be returned to the adoption program. If you can provide Penny with a permanent or foster home that is cat-free, please email PennyATtownlakedogsDOTcom immediately.

Update on Billy Jean
We have been fortunate enough to be able to pull Billie Jean, a long term adoption dog from TLAC. She was displaying shelter stress after being there for 3 months, and lost her bite inhibition. I am very happy to say, that she has made incredible progress! There is no mouthing on human skin anymore! When she gets excited in play, she can be redirected quickly with just a calm verbal correction, and she then will sit right down and lick you. She has also displayed her gentleness with the other members of the pack! She shows no sign of retaliation if another dog corrects her, and rejoins play in a softer manner. Our most fragile girl, Zaida, has become very good friends with her. They play but Billie uses her head instead of her teeth! Just a reminder that bullies can be taught to be gentle giants!
